Clothes Making & Fashion (Intermediate)

Intermediate and advanced students will be supported in the making of garments using commercial or own patterns under the supervision and assistance of our qualified tutor.

For this course, artist Richard McVetis draws on his love of stitching, paying special attention to time, labour and care in the making of Embroidery pieces. This workshop will explore a combination of traditional Hand Embroidery techniques, how you do it and why you do it.

Makers’ Homework Club is a calm and friendly environment where you can practice without a tutor a variety of textile-based techniques: knitting, crochet, embroidery, mending, up cycling and clothes making – bring your own project. You can just drop in and stay as long as you like.
